Anyone who knows me knows I'm a big fan of SyFy's 'reimagined' Battlestar Galactica, and one of the props I've had my eye on is the Radio from Joe's Bar. Tigh thinks he hears music coming from it, and tries to tune it in.
The prop is based on the TEAC SL-A100 AM/FM/Phono console, which when new is shiny and red. Not exactly fitting into the gritty aesthetic of BSG, but the prop department fixed that.
My reference for this prop reproduction is the sadly now-defunct Galactiguise, via the Wayback Machine. It's an invaluable resource on the props and scenery from BSG.
