Cockpit closeup with seat and pilot in place. Getting the hand-to-stick alignment is a bear.

Seat details to match photos of hero prop from the auction. That’s guitar string and some brass tubing.

It’s getting real now! Fuselage light blocked, fiber and lights installed in the cockpit, TLCduino board connected to power. Hope it all fits!!!

The addition of this header plug will let me reprogram the microcontroller after the Viper is all sealed up.

About The Author

Ken Bergquist

Ken Bergquist

Ken has been building models all his life. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that his Dad opened a hobby shop in 1966, when he was 6 years old. While studying in the Theatre Department at The University at Buffalo, Ken worked on a great number of on- and off-campus productions designing and building props and sets, lighting, sound (and a bit of acting). In the 1980's Ken had the opportunity to turn his passion into a job. He was hired to build architectural subjects at Carolina Architectural Models in Raleigh, NC, later known as Scale Model and Display Studios. Some years later, while working for Tri-Star Design Group, he did plastics fabrication and design, leading to some of the most challenging subjects of his career, including props and scenery for the motion picture industry.
